Here comes Wally!
Have you seen anything
like this gorgeous beast before? There was only one ever
made and it floats in the Mediterranean. This is the
118 WallyPower .
The interior has an open plan design which is free and easy like a summer breeze. The floors are made of teak. Inside your guests have 360 degree views while they lounge or dine at the table which seats eight. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a 20” screen. The finish of th e paint is
metallic dark green and changes colour depending on its surrounding just like a chameleon.
It is 36 metres (118 feet) long has a top
speed of nearly 115 km’s (70 mph) and uses a 16,800
gas-turbine horsepower. There is room for eight people and
four crew which the company estimates you should put aside
US$400,000 to pay for them alone. The company that makes the
yacht is based in Monaco called Wally Yachts which was named
after a cartoon character called Wally Gator. The price
tag? AUS$30.55 million, US$24 million, EUR18.56
million.
Which is the world’s largest most
luxurious yacht and who owns it I hear you ask? Well that would be the yacht pictured above. Her name
is Platinum (but that may change) and she is owned by Sheikh
Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.
The size is estimated to be 525 ft (160m). The team
behind this beauty is both Lurssen and Blohm & Voss.
On deck you will find a heli-pad on the bow and on the
upper aft-deck, with dedicated observation rooms for each.
There is a minimum of two master staterooms with an
additional five or more VIP suites. The numbers of guest
staterooms are undisclosed at this time and may never been
known as this yacht has been made under total secrecy. The
bridge deck includes the captain’s quarters, along with a
dedicated lounge and office, all within steps of the exterior
port/starboard observation stanchions.
Platinum will
likely feature an enormous foyer and atrium, connecting each
deck with illumination via a skylight above. There is an
abundant area of exterior seating on every level.
The yacht is projected to be
powered by four diesel engines, each packing in excess of

Royal Brighton Yacht Club
This club was started from a
chance encounter by two boat owners on the beach in 1875.
The royal warrant was bestowed upon it in 1924
by His Majesty King George V.
Since then the club has prospered enormously by opening their doors to the whole community. Their main aim is to promote and encourage the sport of yachting in general and yacht racing in particular.

Sandringham Yacht Club
(SYC) is the Premier Yacht Club in Victoria and has been in
operation for more than one hundred years. They are in a
beautiful location with excellent
boating facilities.
The SYC Clubhouse
features a renowned restaurant, member’s bar, member’s lounge,
conference and function facilities offering an array of food,
beverage and related function
services.
Throughout the
year they have many activities for their members and they
host numerous regattas at State, National and International
level as well as an array of industry events including
their annual boat show.
It is a wonderful club and the perfect place to make new friends and get out in the sun, wind or rain and enjoy life.
Cruising Yacht Club of Australia
Home to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht
Race the CYCA is a prestigious club that has an excellent
international reputation.
It was started in 1944 and today has a brand new floating marina and world-class yacht club that offers five-star function rooms, Bistro and fine dining restaurant and all the support services a boat owner needs. Membership is open to the public.
