Charity – Volunteer in Australia
The first organisation here is to help your workplace give to charity. The following organisations will help you find somewhere suitable for you to volunteer your time.
Australian Charities Fund
The mission for this organisation is to ‘facilitate unprecedented levels of Australian giving’. They are set up to assist with Workplace Giving programs, and community involvement programs, within large employer organisations.
Employees at the 50 companies currently participating in Workplace Giving through The Australian Charities Fund’s programs have donated over AUS$12 million.
Contributions currently are over AUS$6.2 million per year.
This money has benefited over 150 large and small community organisations across Australia. Contact ACF to get your company involved.
Australian Volunteers International
AVI recruits volunteers that are skilled in certain areas. Their assignments may be in Australia or overseas by request from their partner organisations.
These organisations primarily focus on reducing poverty, providing health and education services, promoting human rights and gender equality, and protecting the environment.
They prepare their volunteers before they send them and keep in contact to make sure everything is ok.
This is your gateway to volunteering in Australia. It is the national peak body helping to advance volunteering in Australia. You will get all the information you need about volunteering and volunteer opportunities in your area wherever you are.
